Cross-Device Sync

Cross-Device Sync

Start a conversation on your phone, continue it on your laptop. Tavina keeps everything in sync so you never lose your place.

How It Works

When you sign in to Tavina on any device, all your conversations appear automatically. There’s nothing to set up or configure — it just works.

  • Phone. Open Tavina in your browser or as an installed app.
  • Tablet. Same experience, same conversations.
  • Computer. Full chat history right where you left off.

All devices connect to the same account, so your messages are always up to date.

When Sync Happens

Tavina syncs your conversations as you use them:

  • When you open the app, it fetches the latest messages.
  • When you send or receive a message, it appears on all your devices.
  • When you start a new conversation, it shows up everywhere.

There may be a brief delay — usually just a few seconds — between devices.

What Syncs

Everything in your conversations syncs across devices:

  • All messages (yours and Tavina’s)
  • Conversation titles and order
  • New conversations you’ve started

Troubleshooting

A conversation isn’t showing up on another device:

1. Make sure you’re signed in to the same account on both devices.
2. Pull down to refresh or reload the page.
3. Check your internet connection — sync needs a live connection.

Messages appear out of order or are missing:

1. Refresh the page or close and reopen the app.
2. If the issue persists, try signing out and signing back in.
3. Your messages aren’t lost — they’re safely stored and will reappear.

A conversation I deleted still shows up on another device:

  • Try refreshing. It can take a moment for deletions to sync across devices.

Tips

  • Install Tavina on all your devices for the smoothest experience. See installing Tavina.
  • You don’t need to worry about saving — everything is saved automatically.
  • If something feels off, a quick refresh almost always fixes it.
