Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 1, 2026
1. Overview and Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Hurt Ridge LLC (“Hurt Ridge,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information in connection with Tavina-related services, applications, websites, and experiences.
“Tavina” includes Tavina-related experiences available through tavina.ai, hurtridge.com, and hurtridgelabs.com. This Privacy Policy applies only to Tavina-related pages, products, services, features, communications, and experiences available through those locations. It does not apply to every unrelated product, service, feature, page, or offering that may appear on those sites.
Tavina is operated by Hurt Ridge LLC, 11755 Highway 10, Dickinson, ND 58601, United States.
2. Information Tavina May Collect
Depending on how you use Tavina, we may collect or process the following categories of information:
- Account, authentication, profile, and settings information: information used to create, authenticate, administer, and secure your account, together with profile details and preferences you choose to provide.
- Prompts, chats, and responses: messages, prompts, AI-generated responses, conversation context, and related interaction history.
- Notes, tasks, and memory information: notes, tasks, saved preferences, memory-related information, and other information you choose to maintain through Tavina features.
- Uploads and extracted text: files, documents, images, other uploaded materials, and text or information extracted from those materials where a Tavina feature performs that processing.
- Voice and interaction information: voice recordings, transcripts, voice-related requests, and interaction information when you choose voice-enabled or similar features.
- Integration connection information: information necessary to enable and operate authorized connections to third-party applications, including selected scopes, permissions, actions, connection status, and data received through an authorized connection.
- Technical, diagnostic, support, and communications information: device, browser, application, log, diagnostic, performance, security, support-request, and communications information reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and support Tavina.
- Payment-related transactional information: transaction, subscription, billing-status, and related information if payment functionality is used. Payment providers may separately collect and process payment information under their own privacy notices.
3. How We Use Information
We may use information described in this Privacy Policy to:
- provide, operate, maintain, personalize, and improve the reliability and safety of Tavina;
- create and administer accounts, authenticate users, preserve settings, and protect account security;
- process prompts, provide AI-assisted responses, operate memory-related features, and perform requested actions;
- process uploads, voice interactions, notes, tasks, and other features you select;
- enable connections to third-party applications and perform user-authorized integration actions;
- respond to support requests, legal notices, privacy requests, security concerns, complaints, and other communications;
- monitor for abuse, fraud, security incidents, technical problems, and violations of applicable terms;
- comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our rights; and
- communicate about Tavina, account matters, service updates, support, subscriptions, and other requested or permitted communications.
4. AI Processing and Third-Party Model Providers
Tavina uses OpenRouter to route prompts and necessary context to selected or available third-party large language model providers and models. We do not currently provide a separate notice identifying the provider for each individual prompt.
Third-party model providers may change over time and may have their own terms, privacy practices, retention practices, and processing locations. Information sent through OpenRouter to a selected or available model provider may be processed according to that provider’s applicable practices.
Normal Tavina chats, files, memories, voice data, and tool data are not used to train or improve models. Support or debugging access to customer content requires explicit customer permission, except that Alpha Channel participation has debugging enabled by default. Alpha Channel users may contact Hurt Ridge through the contact form with questions or requests about this default.
5. Accounts, Credentials, and Connected Applications
Tavina retains its own account and authentication credentials as necessary to operate and secure Tavina. In ordinary operations, Hurt Ridge personnel do not view credential material for third-party connected services.
Connection data is handled to enable the connected applications, scopes, and actions you authorize. Tavina does not make a promise in this Privacy Policy regarding every aspect of the technical lifecycle of credentials maintained by third-party services. Third-party connected services remain subject to their own terms, privacy notices, security practices, and data handling practices.
Tavina currently supports approximately 28 connected applications, and that number may change. You designate the scopes, permissions, and actions available through a connection. Tavina uses the lowest available trust setting by default where applicable.
You may revoke a connected application, or revoke all connected applications, through Settings > Integrations. Revocation ends Tavina’s authorized future access, subject to technical processing time. A third-party service may continue to retain information under its own practices after access is revoked.
6. How Information May Be Shared
We may share information in the following circumstances:
- AI processing providers: with OpenRouter and selected or available third-party model providers when necessary to process your prompts and provide Tavina’s AI-related features.
- Connected applications: with third-party applications, services, or tools you choose to connect, within the scopes, permissions, and actions you authorize.
- Payment providers: with Square, Stripe, or another applicable payment provider when payment functionality is used. Payment providers handle payment information under their own notices.
- Service providers: with vendors that assist in operating, hosting, securing, supporting, communicating about, or maintaining Tavina, subject to appropriate contractual or operational safeguards where applicable.
- Legal, safety, and security matters: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or security incidents, or enforce applicable agreements.
- Business transactions: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
- With your direction or consent: when you ask us to share information or otherwise provide permission.
We do not share Tavina personal information with third-party analytics or tracking providers for their own tracking purposes.
7. Cookies, Login Persistence, and Communications Records
Tavina and Tavina-related experiences may use cookies, local storage, session technologies, and similar functional technologies to operate the service, remember preferences, maintain sessions, protect security, and support account functionality.
Tavina may offer an optional opt-in “remember me” feature for login persistence. You can choose whether to use that feature and may manage access to your account through available account settings.
Hurt Ridge may maintain internal CRM, newsletter, Community, and Help Desk records to support communications, customer support, subscriptions, and related service operations. These internal records are not shared with third-party trackers for their own tracking purposes.
You may unsubscribe from non-essential communications or adjust applicable subscriptions through account settings where available, or by contacting us through https://hurtridge.com/contact/.
8. Retention and Deletion
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Tavina, maintain legitimate operational and security functions, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet other lawful purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Tavina honors deletion requests. When a user cancels, Tavina files and chats are removed from active systems. Backups may be retained for up to 30 days and normally cycle out in approximately 7 to 30 days depending on backup rotation.
You may request expedited manual deletion through the contact form. Some categories of information may require different retention periods, including security, legal, fraud-prevention, transaction, communications, diagnostic, and operational records.
9. Your Controls and Privacy Requests
Tavina provides data controls through Settings > Data. Available controls may allow you to manage data preferences, review or manage memories, and request an export for backup or review.
You may correct or forget memories, manage connected applications through Settings > Integrations, and contact Hurt Ridge to request access, export, deletion, correction, or other privacy-related assistance.
To submit a privacy request, deletion request, correction request, complaint, support request, security concern, or legal notice, use https://hurtridge.com/contact/. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify a request and protect account security. Available rights and request handling may vary based on applicable law and the circumstances of the request.
10. Security
We use standard encryption and restricted administrative access controls designed to help protect Tavina information. We also use administrative, technical, and operational measures intended to support the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Tavina data.
No method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you should use reasonable care when deciding what information to submit, upload, connect, or share through Tavina.
11. U.S. Storage and International Processing
Tavina-controlled backups are located in the United States. Tavina does not intentionally transfer Tavina-controlled stored customer data outside the United States.
Third-party model providers, connected applications, payment providers, and other third parties may process information on their own infrastructure, including infrastructure located outside the United States. Their processing is governed by their own terms, privacy notices, practices, and applicable legal obligations.
12. Children’s Privacy
Tavina is not available to children under 13, and individuals under 13 are prohibited from using Tavina.
Individuals ages 13 through 17 may use Tavina only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian, subject to applicable law. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Tavina, contact Hurt Ridge through the contact form.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in Tavina, information practices, legal requirements, or other relevant circumstances. We will post the updated policy with a revised effective date.
For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice where required or appropriate, such as by posting notice through Tavina, on an applicable Tavina-related site experience, or through another reasonable method.
14. Contact Us
